Relief

Dawn's sister's brand new baby had heart surgery in the Philippines early this morning (our time). So far everything seems to have gone well. Grandma and grandpa wanted to be on their way last night, but the first leg of their flight was delayed so much they had to come home. They'll fly out this morning if all goes well. It sounds like a 27 hour trip from start to finish! I hope they get comfortable seats.

Flight deck

Staged this photo in the airplane from Portland to Houston. We're home and loving it. Traveled out, man. Lots of laundry to do. Asher is back in his big cloth diapers. Korbin's biodad came for a visit. Hope it goes well for all involved.

Last day

This is our last full day in Oregon. I had a nice early morning stroll on the beach. Found a cool rock and some shells. Took many pictures. The small crabs were scuttling sideways in the wet sand. One took refuge beside my shoe as I knelt for a picture. I am big and slow

Coastal

Here in a beach cabin. Very nice all around. Soothing surf. And it's sunny and beautiful!

Traveling days

Flying is a hassle. But we're here. Dawn's sister had a son! I'm an uncle again. It would be nice if they weren't in the Philippines.

Very macho

We have our square foot garden planted now. Plus some strawberries and a tomato plant by the garage. I hope the rabbits stay away while we are in Oregon. I might need to camp out with my pea shooter and scare them off.

Guitar done

Chad got him a guitar today. I went along for peer pressure. He bought a Martin very similar to mine. It sounds so nice. We went back to his house and banged out the coffee house set for next Sunday. It should be fun!
